Guided students regarding careers in cloud computing and help grow enrollment of underserved communities.

Served as a Commissioner for the Iowa City Human Rights Commission.

Helped develop strategic plan with the goal of increasing the number of black engineering graduates across United States from 5,654 to 10,000 annually by 2025.

CYstarters is an 11-week summer accelerator for Iowa State students to focus on their startup or business idea. Students will receive $6,500 for individual or up to $13,000 per student team for the opportunity to spend their summer dedicated to achieving their startup goals and pursuing entrepreneurial aspirations.

Lobbied for international education initiatives through congressional visits with senators and represetatives in DC. As a result, was able to influence the passing of a bill to increase funding for international programs.

Served as the Chapter President for Iowa State University's NSBE chapter.

Selected as 1 of 20 students at Iowa State University to participate in the Vermeer International Leadership Program. In a unique partnership with the Vermeer Corporation, the Leadership Studies Program offered a year-long, in-depth leadership experience focused on the fields of engineering, business and agriculture. As a participant, I took courses and traveled with a cohort while studying leadership in a multi-national company.

Selected as 1 of 32 students from the five partner institutions to participate in OEI (Okoboji Entrepreneurial Institute). At OEI, students participate in advanced study of entrepreneurship that includes an entrepreneurial simulation; seminars with successful entrepreneurs, business, and community leaders; networking and mentoring to enhance their understanding of entrepreneurship opportunities in Iowa.

Worked as a software engineering intern for the IDEX Corporation.

Invited to participate in Socrates Program and provided scholarship to attend the program. The Aspen Institute Socrates Program provides a forum for emerging leaders from various fields to convene and explore contemporary issues through expert-moderated dialogue. The program’s seminars are designed as values-based Socratic explorations to facilitate the exchange of ideas.

Awarded scholarship for outstanding academic achievement.

Selected as one of approximately 1,000 American undergraduate students from 386 colleges and universities to receive the prestigious Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship from the U.S. Department of State. The Gilman Program supports students of limited financial means to study or intern abroad, providing them with skills critical to our national security and economic prosperity.
